Of all the things I love doing in this job, being with our churches in worship or special meetings tops the list. In April it was my joy to celebrate three special meetings:

In a meditative moment, I began to reflect on some recent venues of spiritual value outside my normal patterns of life.
It was my joy to attend the Pastors’ Conference at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville in late January. It was a wonderful conference. I have attended many times in past years, however, as I took the time to walk through the exhibit area, it dawned on me the many ministries and helps that are now available to preachers and churches. Florida Baptists are the finest people on planet Earth. We are grateful to be part of this great Convention. May the good things of grace continue in your lives.

We will meet in the new facilities of the Church by the Glades in Coral Springs where David Hughes is pastor. It is a beautiful facility and David is the consummate host. Please make plans to attend.

My mind has tried to wrap itself around giving. Now that’s not abnormal. There is rarely a day of my life that I do not think about giving—personal or corporate. Here are some thoughts my mind has completed lately.

The Maguire State Mission Offering is worthy of our support. We should be compelled by Christ’s compassion to give. Giving is a matter of grace. Jesus is the ultimate example of grace, compassion and giving.
Let me share some facts and insights about the offering:
