I married my husband Stan in 2006 and moved to Callahan. We were both members of a large Baptist church. Three years later, Stan suggested changing our membership to a church in Callahan. Inwardly and outwardly, I griped. I didn’t want change.
I listened for God at our church, and I heard Him there. Serving in media, music and children’s ministries, I loved my church. The city girl in me bucked at the idea of going to a "country church."

Florida Baptist Children’s Homes (FBCH) touches the hearts of both mothers and fathers of unborn children and informs them of pro-life choices. Their Sanctity of Human Life Program combines post-abortion ministries with adoption education through Pregnancy Care Centers across Florida. The Program also promotes sexual purity and positive choices for young women facing unplanned pregnancies.

JACKSONVILLE (FBC)—A satisfying life is lived for God, not for ourselves. That was the theme of the sermon delivered by Michael Orr Nov. 12 at the Florida State Baptist State Convention annual meeting at North Jacksonville Baptist Church.
Orr, pastor of First Baptist Church in Chipley for the past 15 years, told messengers a nationwide revival is needed. “It is the heart of God to bring about [spiritual] awakening so God’s grace can reach humans,” he said.

Chuck Ward, a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, asked God for a way he could lead his family in serving Him. Soon after, Chuck and his 11 year-old daughter Grace walked through their family’s neighborhood.

She worked as a licensed marriage and family therapist at the Trinity Rescue Mission in downtown Jacksonville. He owned an air conditioning and heating business begun by his father. With a strong marriage, three daughters, and a home in Northeast Florida’s Nassau County—the faithful members of First Baptist Church in Callahan gave off an air of completeness.
