LOUISVILLE (FBW) -- SBC President Johnny Hunt today named 19 Southern Baptists, including himself, to a "Great Commission Resurgence" task force the Convention authorized yesterday.

The group is empowered to study how Southern Baptists can "work more faithfully and effectively together in serving Christ through the Great Commission."
Five Floridians were named to the task force: Tom Biles, director of missions of Tampa Bay Baptist Association; Ken Whitten, pastor of Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz; Ted Traylor, pastor of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola; Mike Orr, pastor of First Baptist Church in Chipley, and John Drummond, layman at St. Andrew Baptist Church in Panama City.
Other members of the task force, to be chaired by Ronnie Floyd, Ark., are: Jim Richards, Tex; Frank Page, S.C.; David Dockery, Tenn.; Simon Tsoi, Ariz.; Donna Gaines, Tenn.; Al Gilbert, N.C.; J.D. Greear, N.C.; R. Albert Mohler Jr., Ky.; Danny Akin, N.C.; Bob White, Ga.; Harry Lewis, Ga.; and Roger Spradlin, Calif.
