LOUISVILLE (BP)—Two Floridians have been appointed by Southern Baptist Convention President Johnny Hunt to serve on the SBC’s 2009-10 Committee on Nominations which will nominate people to serve on the SBC's boards, commissions and committees. They will present their report to the 2010 SBC annual meeting in Orlando June 15-16.
Florida Baptists appointed to the 70-member Committee on Nominations are William Rice, pastor, Calvary Baptist Church, Clearwater, and Daniel Webster, layman, First Baptist Church of Central Florida, Orlando.
The following individuals were approved to various SBC entities’ governing boards by messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in Louisville, Ky., June 23-24.

Nominated for second term is Darrell P. Orman, Stuart.

Nominated for second term is Harold D. Vick, West Palm Beach.

INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD
Nominee with term to expire in 2013, replacing member ineligible for re-election, is David F. Uth, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Orlando, replacing Kenneth C. (Ken) Whitten, pastor of Idlewild Baptist Church, Tampa.
LIFEWAY CHRISTIAN RESOURCES
Nominee with term to expire in 2013, replacing member ineligible for re-election, is Robert D. (Bob) Greene, director of missions and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Pensacola, replacing Randolph L. (Randy) Knepper, Pensacola.
Nominated for second term is James A. Wells, Eustis.
NORTH AMERICAN MISSION BOARD
Nominated for second term is Robert V. Roberts, Lakeland.
SOUTHERN SEMINARY
Nominated for a second term is James A. Smith Sr., St. Augustine.
