BCF homecoming, Christmas production, speakers

GRACEVILLE (BCF)—The Baptist College of Florida is hosting its annual Holiday Homecoming Dec 4., 5-7:30 p.m. in the Heritage Village on Sanders Ave.

Homecoming activities will include cane grinding, quilt making, caroling, handmade crafts, basket weaving, and artisan demonstrations. Food at the homecoming will consist of homemade chili, ham biscuits, hot chocolate and apple cider. Donations received at the event will go toward the BCF student wives general scholarship fund.

The three performances of “A Graceville Christmas Festival” will be Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. in the R. G. Lee Chapel. The BCF Music and Worship Division Chair Don Odom as well as the entire Music and Worship Division will lead and perform the music.

Tickets for “A Graceville Christmas Festival” will be on sale for $5 in the BCF Business Office at 800-328-2660 ext. 418. Seating for the musical is limited.

In other recent news, William Dempski, a leading Intelligent Design advocate, spoke Oct. 26 in the R.G. Lee Chapel on the similarities and differences between Intelligent Design and Creation Theory and explained how science and religion go hand and hand. Dempski also spoke in several classes and during a faculty forum.

BCF students Oct. 1 heard Contemporary Christian artists Building 429, Todd Agnew, and the new pop female trio Kimber Rising at the school’s Assembly Center. The concert was part of a nation-wide “The Promise Remains Tour.”
