EMERALD COAST
DAVIES

Village Baptist Church in Destin honored Pastor Steve Davies Sept. 9, his 20th anniversary with the church. During his tenure, membership has grown from 75 to 1,000. The congregation presented him with a crystal obelisk to commemorate the occasion.

FLORIDA  

THE GANNS
First Baptist Church in Woodville has called Trent Gann as pastor. While a student at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, he was an intern at Belleview Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn. He previously served as pastor of Dellwood Baptist Church in Chipola Baptist Association. He and his wife Jennifer were married in 2007.

HOLMES

Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Westville will celebrate its 61st homecoming Sept. 30 at 10:25 a.m. Pastor Stacy Stafford will preach and The Stafford Family will sing. A fellowship lunch will follow the service. For more information, call 850-956-4116.

JACKSONVILLE

THE SEAGLES
Mandarin Baptist Church recently called Mark Seagle as pastor. He, his wife, Susan, and five children moved to Jacksonville from Tuscaloosa, Ala., where he served as pastor of spiritual formation and maturity with Valley View Baptist Church. He previously had served as pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Crest­view 12 years. Seagle is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, Ga., Auburn (Ala.) University and University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Fruit Cove Baptist Church has called Neal Cordle as executive associate pastor. He most recently served with First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Ga. Cordle is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University, Marietta, Ga.; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas; and Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va. He and his wife, Joan, have two children. Terry Parker Baptist Church will celebrate its 54th anniversary Oct. 7 with guest speaker Bill Coffman, retired pastor of Westview Baptist Church in Sanford. First Baptist Church in Fruitland Park celebrated its 50th anniversary Sept. 16. Tom Cheyney, director of missions of the Greater Orlando Baptist Association, spoke and the Baptist College of Florida “College Singers” led worship.

SHILOH

Lebanon Baptist Church in Plant City will mark its 71st anniversary in homecoming Oct. 14. Former member Hugh Long, a mission volunteer in Alaska, will preach in the 11 a.m. service, and a covered dish lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. For more information, call 813-737-9350.

Hillcrest Baptist Church in Palatka will mark its 100th anniversary in homecoming Oct. 7.
