GRACEVILLE (BCF)—More than 170 prospective students and guests roamed the Graceville campus of Baptist College of Florida Nov. 2 to determine if it was where God was leading them to continue their education.

Some were visiting the campus for the very first time and one family drove over 600 miles to attend the annual Fall Preview Day.

Registration began outside the student center at 9 a.m. where BCF students had volunteered to decorate tables, greet visitors, hang welcome banners, and compile information bags to provide to potential students.

Once inside the student center, prospective students were treated to a cup of coffee and given the chance to explore exhibits providing information about degree options, campus activities, mission opportunities, intramural sports, campus ministries, financial aid, computer access, and other support resources.

There was also a photo-booth set up in the student center where visitors could take fun photos with their new friends, peers or parents to remember their special day at BCF.

Classroom visits allowed prospective students to get a glimpse of college life at BCF. Attendees had the opportunity to visit one of four classroom options which included music and worship, theology and missions, Christian counseling, and teacher education. Campus visitors also had the option of participating in a financial aid seminar led by the BCF financial aid office and business affairs.

An inspirational hour of praise and worship featuring the college choir, orchestra, praise team, male chorale, and women’s ensemble drew visitors to the chapel where President Thomas A. Kinchen shared his heart regarding all that the Lord is doing in and through BCF to fulfill the call of “Changing the World Through the Unchanging Word.”

Campus visitors enjoyed lunch and fellowship to the smooth sound of the BCF Jazz Band, After lunch, prospective students were led on tours of the housing facilities while BCF admissions counselors guided groups on a walking tour around the campus.

Around 40 prospective students submitted their applications to BCF on Preview Day and had their application fee waived. Two $500 scholarships were awarded, one to Lindsey Petty-piece from the Lakeland, and the other to Andrew Wilson from Elba, Ala.

Plans are already underway for the Spring 2013 Preview Day. For more information on visiting The Baptist College of Florida or becoming a student, please contact the admissions office at 800-328-2660 or visit  Find us on Facebook and browse through the photo booth pictures of Fall Preview Day.
