First Baptist Church in Floral City has called John L. Rothra as pastor. He, his wife, Olivia, and three children moved to Floral City from Fort Worth, Texas, where he is a doctoral student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of University of Texas in Tyler and SWBTS. He was licensed and ordained by Judson Community Baptist Church in Longview, Texas, and previously served as pastor of Union Hill Baptist Church in Alvord, Texas.
