GRACEVILLE (BCF)—John and Lisa Hamilton of Marianna recently established a scholarship at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville in honor of John’s brother, Robin.

Born November 6, 1967, Robin is the son of the Rev. Johnny Hamilton and wife, Maxine Basford Hamilton. The Hamilton’s lifelong commitment and unending devotion to caring for Robin in their home has been a driving force in the lives of the entire Hamilton family. Robin, born with cerebral palsy as a result of an automobile accident which occurred during his mother’s pregnancy, has been, and continues to be, an inspiration not only to the Hamilton family, but to all who meet him.
Because of the strong ties to the Baptist College of Florida, John and Lisa determined that establishing the scholarship would be an appropriate way to honor Robin as well as John’s dad. Hamilton attended the Baptist College of Florida, previously known as Baptist Bible Institute (BBI), from 1965-69 while working at night to provide for his wife and children. Since that time, Hamilton has pastored a number of churches throughout Northwest Florida.
The financial support the scholarship will provide for other BCF students who would not otherwise be able to attend is an expression of John and Lisa’s faithfulness, and their generosity to their family, worthy students, and the Baptist College of Florida. If you are interested in contributing to the Robin N. Hamilton Scholarship Fund, please contact Vice President for Development Charles Parker at 850-263-3261, ext. 416.
