ORLANDO (FBW)—First Baptist Church Central Florida in Orlando will host Christian School 101 Feb. 25-26 to instruct church leaders in planning and starting a Christian school. First Baptist will offer the event in partnership with the Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools and Florida Christian Schools.

Christian School 101 will cover topics including a biblical case for church involvement in education, gathering church and community support, governance and management, church-school relationship, financial and facility issues, faculty and staffing, and curriculum and accreditation. Participants will also tour Central Florida Christian Academy, a ministry of First Baptist.

Pastor Clayton Cloer said Christian schooling is key to reaching the next generation.

“Pastors with Christian schools, like me, know that having children on your campus all week in a Christian school is a powerful way to win them and their families for the Kingdom. A Christian school can help ‘beautify Christ’s Bride’ through evangelism, discipleship and community outreach,” he wrote in a church press release.

The first session begins at 8:30 a.m. Monday with conferences scheduled throughout the day. The Tuesday session also begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at noon.
