Aloma Baptist Church in Winter Park has called Wesley J. Baldwin as pastor. A native of Tennes­see, he is a graduate of University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife Sarah moved to Orlando from Nashville where he served Tusculum Hills Baptist Church. He previously served churches in Tennessee and Texas.


Westside Baptist Church will host a weekend jazz clinic and concert May 18-19 with Denver and the Mile High Orchestra. First Baptist Church in Cape Coral has called James H. Wigton as pastor. He most recently served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Ga., and also served Delaney Street Baptist Church in Orlando. He is a graduate of Ohio State University in Columbus; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; and Indiana Baptist College in Greenwood. He and his wife, Jackie, have three adult children.


The 2013 Men’s Rally at Middle Florida Baptist Assembly in Branford will be held May 3 at 7 p.m. The speaker is Jackie Watts, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Madison. HONORED Oakcrest Baptist Church in Ocala named William D. Terrell pastor emeritus April 14. “Brother Bill” served the church 35 years, and retired in 2011 when he also celebrated 50 years in ministry.
