GRACEVILLE (BCF)—Rick Shepherd, team strategist for the prayer /spiritual awakening team of the Florida Baptist Convention is a featured leader at the Baptist College of Florida annual prayer conference Sept. 16-18 at 10 a.m. in the R.G. Lee Chapel.
For 11 years, Shepherd and Wayne Barber, senior pastor of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn., and founder of To Live is Christ Ministries have consistently blessed and encouraged students and faculty to pray.
Barber and Shepherd combine their years of experience and commitment to prayer in leading the annual event having served together at Woodland Park Baptist Church from 1983-2000. They are distinguished authors and dynamic speakers notorious for sharing their humorous stories and revealing foundational truths from scripture, while challenging listeners to develop a lifestyle immersed in prayer.
The three-day conference is scheduled on campus each fall semester and focuses on prayer and how vital it is in the life of an individual, a community, and the nation. The annual event not only prepares BCF students and faculty to embrace the thrilling and exciting semester ahead, but also inspires others to join together to pray and strengthen their prayer life.
