LEESBURG (FLBaptist)—Concerts by the Robbie Seay and Rhett Walker bands, along with keynote speakers Keni Thomas, one of the army sergeants engaged in the “Blackhawk Down” operations and actor Robert Amaya will highlight a Men’s Retreat at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center March 28-30.

The retreat will call Florida Baptist men to “Live Out Loud” said Don Sawyer, LYBCC director, which is sponsoring the event.

“We “live out loud” in the power of the Holy Spirit who is the seal of God to identify us as sons of God,” he explained. “While today we live in a culture starved for clear identity and security, we who are sons of God are clear and secure in our identity with Christ.”

The event will also feature Brooks Braswell, pastor of First Baptist Church in Umatilla, who will preach during Sunday worship, and Stephen Wolgamott, worship leader at First Baptist Church in Leesburg.

The weekend will begin with dinner on Friday night and conclude with Sunday lunch.

Thomas, a dynamic speaker as he shares his experiences and his testimony, will speak Saturday evening. He was involved in the “Blackhawk Down” operation in the summer of 1993 in Mogadishu, Somalia; and is an author and country singer who will share several of his songs.

Amaya, best known for his role as Javier in the movie “Courageous,” is the Friday evening keynote speaker. A bilingual professional actor and singer, he worked for the Walt Disney Company as a member of the critically acclaimed, Voices of Liberty and volunteers as the worship leader and actor at his church in Miami.

The Robbie Seay Band will be in concert Friday evening. Seay is best known for his career as a songwriter, recording artist and worship leader at his brother’s church in Houston. The group has been together for over a decade with multiple songs on the charts including “Song of Hope.”

The Rhett Walker Band will be in concert Saturday evening. The rising Christian musician with a unique sound is an outspoken 25-year-old son of a preacher, born and raised around the South. He sings of God’s grace despite a troubled youth.
