LUTZ (FBW)—Idlewild Baptist Church will host one of the first “Send North America” experiences of the year as part of North American Mission Board 2014 tour to major American cities.

Idlewild is set to host David Platt, pastor and author of the New York Times Best Seller, “Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream,” in a 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 9 evening worship service on the Lutz campus, near Tampa.

The Send North America Experience is part Idlewild’s Global Impact Conference that began Feb. 23 and concludes with Platt’s sermon.

Other speakers at the Global Impact Conference have included Idlewild Senior Pastor Ken Whitten; International Mission Board speaker and author Nik Ripkin; Author and founding pastor of Imago Dei Church, in Raleigh, N.C., Tony Merida; and “The Bible Answer Man,” Hank Hanegraff.

The conference featured local and foreign missionaries and provided information in how individuals could be involved in “Great Commission” work locally, nationally, and around the globe—according to the church’s website at www.idlewildonmission.org.
