JACKSONVILLE (FBW)—Southern Baptist churches and associations across the United States are being asked to pack “Buckets of Love” that will be distributed to terminally ill persons in Swaziland, Lesotho, Kenya, South Africa and other African countries by Baptist Global Relief.

The Bucket Project involves packing a 5-gallon plastic bucket filled with medical and hygiene supplies. The cost of sharing the kit is about $85 and Southern Baptist missionaries use the buckets to open doors of opportunity to share God’s love with those who are in need, according to Mickey Smith, Florida’s BGC representative.

Go to the www.gobgr.org/buckets for a shopping list, instructions on how to pack the buckets, bucket labels, etc. Bucket items may also be purchased from our Online Bucket Store (www.bgr.gostorego.com). Churches may also volunteer as collections points.
