MURRAY
JACKSONVILLE (FBW)—Jacksonville financial consultant Leonard Murray has been named chief financial officer of the Florida Baptist Credit Union, replacing outgoing CEO Perry Kenner, who is moving with his family to Alabama.

Murray, a CPA, Certified Information Technology Professional and Certified Information Systems Auditor, will head the team of MyFBCU customer service professionals.

One of his first tasks will be to spearhead the rollout of the credit union’s Mobile Deposit/Mobile Banking technology initiative. The platform is designed to allow members, on a 24/7 basis regardless of where they are, to deposit checks from the convenience of their home or office using secure smartphone technology.

“It is an exciting time to be coming on board,” Murray said in a statement. “MyFBCU has a successful heritage of caring for its members through our main branch here in Jacksonville, our extensive shared-branch system and also through our online ‘virtual branch’ services.”

Mobile Technology, he said, will only continue to enhance the member experience.

“We are so pleased to have Leonard as chief financial officer to replace our outgoing CEO, Perry Kenner, at this particular time,” said Jayme Alfano, chairman of the board of the Florida Baptist Credit Union, in a statement.

He went on to say that he was “extremely pleased with the excellent work” done by Kenner to, what Alfano calls, “prepare the credit union for this next exciting phase of mobile banking.”
