BREAKING NEWS: 21 injured as car crashes into Second Haitian Baptist in Fort Myers

A 4-door Lexus sedan crashed through the wall of Second Haitian Baptist Church in Ft. Myers about 8 p.m. last night. Local media reported 21 were injured during an Easter evening concert attended by about 200.

According to local television reports, the driver was attempting to park in the adjoining lot when the car accelerated into the building. Some concert goers said they lifted the car off of the injured before Lee County EMS arrived to begin triaging patients and directing them to local hospitals.

Second Haitian Baptist Church is a member of the Royal Palm Baptist Association.
