GROUNDBREAKING Gardner Baptist Church in Zolfo Springs recently broke ground for a new church sanctuary on the west side of Highway 17. The campus on the east side of the highway that had been home to the church since 1953 was claimed by eminent domain in the widening of the highway to four lanes. The church purchased land south of the church cemetery, across the highway from its former location.
