Village Baptist Church in Destin will host a Missions Extravaganza Sept. 21. The event, sponsored by Emerald Coast Fellowship, begins with activities at 4:30 p.m. and concludes with a worship service at 6 p.m. For more information, call 850-729-1266.
Northwoods Baptist Church in Tallahassee will host Celebration of Praise 2014 on Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m., sponsored by the Big Bend Fellowship of Christian Musicians. The program will feature a choir of 100 with a 30-piece orchestra. For more information, call 850-562-1188.
Leon Ebenezer Baptist Church in Tallahassee will celebrate its 125th anniversary on Oct. 5. The event will begin with singing, including special music by Fortress, at 10 a.m. followed by a worship service at 11 a.m. featuring speaker Ken Hosford. Spruce Creek Baptist Church in Daytona Beach has called Steve Loy as pastor. He most recently served Eastside Baptist Church in Marianna while attending The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville. He also has served as college and student minister with Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville and Terry Parker Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Loy is a graduate of BCF and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies. He served as director of collegiate and resort ministries with Halifax Baptist Association and as youth pastor at Spruce Creek Baptist from 2000-02. He and his wife, Leah, have one daughter.
Bethel Baptist Church in Trenton will host its third-annual 3-D Archery Tournament Aug. 30. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and shooting at 10 a.m. The event will include food and door prizes, along with water slides for children. For more information, call 352-463-2028.

Fellowship Baptist Church in Ocala has called Zachary Culpepper as its worship leader and youth minister. He comes to Fellowship Baptist from Verbena Baptist Church in Alabama. Culpepper was licensed to ministry in 2008 and graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville. Culpepper is engaged to be married in December to Keri Simpson of Gainesville, who is part of Fellowship’s praise team.
Amelia Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach has called Adam Page as associate pastor for discipleship, missions and ministry. He is a native of Jacksonville and served as minister of music at Celebration Baptist Church in Yulee. Page is a 2007 graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and he holds an M.Div. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He and his wife, Amy Jo, have a daughter.
First Baptist Church in Lake Worth has called Charley Westbrook as pastor. He most recently served as pastor of Cornerstone Fellowship in Mililani, Hawaii, and previously served with the IMB in France. Westbrook grew up on the mission field in Argentina. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Susan, have an adult son.
Suwannee Baptist Association is sponsoring a men’s event, “Follow the Blood Trail ... A Man’s Journey,” Sept. 27 at Skeeter Ranch in southern Hamilton County. Activities, including archery, zip line, trap shoot and hunting demonstrations, will begin at 1 p.m. and the main event begins at 4 p.m. Dinner will be provided as part of a BBQ cook-off competition.
