The service begins at 8:45 a.m. June 19 at the old home of the Grand Ole Opry (1941-75), originally named the Union Gospel Tabernacle when it opened in the early 1890s. Musicians Jeff and Diane Anders of Jennings will join Russ Lee and others. The evangelists’ annual retreat is Friday and Saturday, June 17-18, at the Music City Sheraton Hotel. “The Work of the Evangelist” is the retreat theme, with a number of SBC leaders featured. The retreat will conclude by noon Saturday so that the evangelists can participate in the annual Crossover evangelistic outreach preceding each year’s SBC annual meeting.
