Daniel Lamb (l), area administrator for the South Florida Campus of the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes in Miami, discusses minor damage to the outside of a home with Gerry Cherubim, a house parent. Lamb told the Witness Oct. 28 most buildings on campus escaped damage in Hurricane Wilma, which battered the area Oct. 24. A major concern following Wilma was a power outage which led to spoiled food in several large walk-in freezers. Staffers, administrators and house parents on campus saw to it that emergency generators powered smaller refrigerators throughout campus.
