ST. PETERSBURG (FBW)-March 31, 2005 Terri Schiavo died after Judge George W. Greer, at the request of Terri's husband, Michael, on March 18, 2005 issued a final judgement in the controversial and highly litigated case (see related stories). For 13 days, nutrition and hydration was withheld from Terri Schiavo and she died of marked dehydration. George Felos, a prominent "right-to-die" attorney from St. Petersburg represented Michael Schiavo in the case.

Here is a brief update on each of the three:

MICHAEL SCHIAVO

Michael Schiavo married his long-time girlfriend, Jodi Centonze, in 2006.

In a March 26 interview about his book, Terri: The Truth released in March, Schiavo told NBC’s Today Show host, Matt Lauer, the book “settles some scores” with Terri’s family.

GEORGE W. GREER

Judge George W. Greer of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Court of Florida (Pasco-Pinellas County) spoke March 31—on the one year anniversary of Terri’s death—at a one-day conference “The Terri Schiavo Case: One Year Later,” co-sponsored by Boston University’s School of Law and School of Public Health. Greer continues to serve on the bench as judge and has received accolades and awards from some in the legal community for his actions in the Terri Schiavo case.

GEORGE FELOS

George Felos, according to Roth Talent Associates, is America’s foremost right-to-die expert and attorney for Michael Schiavo. On the speaking circuit, Felos uses the Schiavo case as an illustration of how he believes individual constitutional rights and ethics are eroding in today’s society.
