LEESBURG(FBC)—Teachers and volunteers are invited to a time of celebration and continued education at the State Literacy Conference set for Sept. 11-13 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg.
Training for basic instruction in English as a Second Language and advanced training for those already certified is available. Basic training for tutoring children and youth or adult reading and writing also is available.
Special guests include Gayle Leininger, retired national literacy missionary, and Glenda Reece, state literacy missions associate.
The cost, which includes meals, lodging and conference fees, is $130 per person for double occupancy, $170 per person for single occupancy, and $70 per person for commuters.
